Important Policies/Cancellations
IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:
*Massage should never be used as a replacement for appropriate and necessary medical attention!!
*Please come to your first session 15 minutes early to do a client intake and paperwork, including a health history. I accept cash, credit card payment and touchless payment using the Venmo app.
* You will recieve an email confirmation of your booked massage appointment. Please keep in mind that text reminders about massage appointments are an occasional courtesy of Insight Therapeutic Massage and it is your responsiblity to remember your appointment regardless of whether you recieve/see your text reminder.
* Cancellation/Arriving late: I understand that life can throw unexpected events our way, however if you cancel within 24 hours of a scheduled massage session, or have a no call/no show, I will charge a $50/hr cancellation fee and this will be due immediately, or before our next session together. If no call/no shows are a repeated problem I will ask if you would like to keep your card on file so you can be charged for missed appointments before you are able to book again. I have limited availability and the time is reserved for you, so please try to inform me ahead of time so I can call another client who may be able to come in. If there is a medical emergency I do make an exception. In order to respect my other clients, I will end massages at the scheduled end time, regardless of when you arrive. Please arrive on time to ensure you receive your full session.
* Massage therapy, or certain application of massage therapy, can be contraindicated for certain conditions/illnesses. It is very important that you answer all health history questions honestly, and keep me up to date with any changes. If this does not happen, I cannot be held liable for any aggravation of said conditions/illnesses due to massage. This is confidential information.
*Please feel free to comment about ANYTHING that is affecting your experience (including pressure, music, temperature, etc) ~ You are in a safe space.
*Please note, depending on what we are addressing, we may discuss whether a clothed session would be optimal, especially during a medical massage or targeted massage. Otherwise, you will always be fully draped in the sheet, with only the body part we are working on exposed. You are always welcome to stay dressed/undress to your own comfort level.
*Please remember to bring a water bottle with you, so you can hydrate afterwards!!!
** UPDATE- masks for clients and medical massage patients are optional at this time-- The ongoing COVID- 19 Pandemic: (Update: THE FOLLOWING IS NO LONGER REQUIRED---) I require proof of a Covid-19 vaccination from all my clients BEFORE they enter the building for our first bodywork session together. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against the Covid-19 virus, wear a fresh KN95/N95 mask during each session, and provide a fresh mask for my clients if needed. There is a carbon/high voltage active filtration/ionic air purifier in the massage room, KN95/N95 masks are required during the entire massage at this time (provided to you when you arrive), and the massage space is cleaned thoroughly between massage clients. Please arrive in your mask and then put on the mask I provide to you when you arrive. You will recieve a text reminder of this policy before our session together, along with screening questions to answer.
*NO inappropriate comments, or advances of a sexual nature, will be tolerated and the session will promptly end, with payment due.
* PLEASE DO NOT come to a session if you are experiencing ANY symptoms of illness.
